Well.. i wouldn't QQ if ectos was the item he wanted. Id just be enjoying farming them and selling for a higher price that week, and just skip the gifts.
Well.. this week more junk, tonics, stones, bottle rockets...
I hope for something profitable and challenging to farm next week.

I'm going to take up a collection to buy those poor skale a dental plan. Maybe get the dredge in on it too. Dental hygiene doesn't seem to be a priority for either of them.

I'm sure all their boot chewing doesn't help the dental problem...

Or the fact that they apparently eat the boots and then later puke them back up.
Are skale bulimic? I mean, that'd explain the boots, and the fact that their teeth fall out so often...

I'm doing this run in Zehlon Reach. It is working out better from a Skale Fin drop-rate perspective.
I did a few runs in Fahranur, but got at most 1-2 fins per run, every 8 minutes. I would clear all the Skale in the map.
Then I started running into Zehlon Reach, from Jokanur Diggings, following the route in the pic. I would kill all the Skale in the map. A run takes about 18-20mins. I average 6+ fins per run now.
Where I was previously something like 7 fins, 9 claws, 15 teeth in total, from 5 runs I did in Fahranur, I am now on 23 fins, 13 claws and 39 teeth after only 2 runs. (Yes, Teeth still drop more here, but not a lot of claws, rather more fins.)
I'm using this warrior build: OQMT0woKZC8RpYH8qgvywqrwfAA
Str 11(+1), Axe 14 (+1+1), Healing 8
Triple chop, Cyclone axe, Whirlwind, FGJ, Flail, Enraging, Sprint, Vigorous spirit.
Use Zealous axe when they are bunched up and normal axe when running and shield with cripple reduce 20% mod (damn derv Skale).
Run straight into for the ranged Skale, so the melee bunch around you continue to blow them up... watch the Blighter's, they have desease, hence the Vigorous Spirit. Purity rune may help for this also.
The Skale are lower level in Zehlon reach, so they are easily blown up.
EDIT: Ended with 48 Skale Fins, 16 Skale Claws, 90 Skale Teeth, i.e. more than enough for me after another 3 runs (6, 9 and 10 fins in each run).

Thank you
I've visited Nicholas twice a week (two accounts) since he first started handing out gifts. I haven't got anything exciting so far, but there's always hope
I've enjoyed the different locations and requirements, and it's also nice to dust off old farming builds or make new ones.
I just wanted to say thanks to those that run around all over the place trying to find ole Nick each week, then telling us where he is, so,
Thanks!!

I ran with a warrior in issnur isles. I sent him alone without even changing his everyday build. There are so many scales there that I got 25 before even killing all of them. I would suggest this place for a run then.

No, there can't be a weekly thread, because if there was, this couldn't be the thread that never goes away.

Complaining (or is it simply commentary?) about 125 pages? You should check out "War and Peace."

I'm not surprised the skale are losing teeth - I mean, if you're going to chomp on good solid armour, expect to lose teeth. Ow.
And yeah, I got way more skale claws and teeth than fins, but at least this was a quick farm. Hope Nicholas moves away from skale, though, am sick of them.
